The Weekly Crave: NYC Edition

This city is so full of energy and creativity that I’m instantly happy whenever I’m here. That said, I couldn’t live here – I just love London too much. So whenever I come (and luckily I do get to visit often for work), I cram as much as I can into the time that I have.

Last night we ventured to a brilliant little cocktail bar – actually voted one of the best in the world. They may be great at mixing up boozy specials, but my ‘nothing too sweet, but surprise me please’ non-alc cocktail contained honey, vinegar, tonic and lemon – not great. Needless to say I think I’ll be sticking to the menu or ordering tonic and fresh slices of fruit in the future.

Anyways, this brings me onto my weekly crave – gorgeous cocktail glasses. I’m hoping when we finish our kitchen we’ll be able to add a little bar cart with some characterful glassware for entertaining. It might have to be one with a lockable cabinet – just to keep it safe for the little fingers that will be inspecting everything in our flat in the next few years.

So here’s a few shots of some of my favourites at the moment – simple but somewhat organic forms (so they fit nicely in the hand), a touch of vintage style, and perfect for showing off whatever is being put inside. All original photos can be found on my pinterest page by clicking here.

Thanks for reading – off on another NYC adventure (which may or may not involve baby H’s first taste of proper American mac and cheese). Thanks for stopping by!  x

  1. I have always been addicted to glassware! As soon as all these children are gone and won’t break everything I bring into my house, I am going to have a fun collection. I almost bought some gorgeous copper Moscow mule glasses last weekend, they are my current favorite!
