There’s been a lot happening in London on the design front, and it’s nice to finally start posting about what I’ve seen. Today I dropped by Design Junction and almost everywhere I turned, I saw loads of things I would buy in a heartbeat for the new home. Some interesting trends are definitely in full force. It may come as no surprise that Danish and Scandinavian designers are storming the interiors circuit. Industrial lighting, woven textiles, graphic prints, woodworking, exposed wiring, and raw finishes also seem to be everywhere. Pops of bold (sometimes even neon) colour, as well as copper and metalwork. But everything slick, clean, streamlined, a bit quirky and clearly handcrafted.
It’s open yet tomorrow so if you get a chance, stop by and check it out for yourself. A lot of the vendors and designers are running 20% off sales to mark the weekend, so you might pick up a bargain while you’re at it.
