Last week at Design Junction, the amount of amazing work was almost overwhelming. In fact, it’s taken the weekend to sort through all the literature and leaflets I picked up along the way. But a few things really captured my eye, and seemed perfectly in sync with the current trends. One of my favourite exhibitors was Lane, a company offering a concise collection of homeware and stationary inspired by 20th century graphic design.
The hand-pulled prints really stood out for their simplicity, personality and quality. I’ll be ordering these two prints from the collection, and adding them to the photo wall we’re planning for our hallway, just to break things up a bit. After all, who wants to see a million photos of me, Liam, our friends and the cats?
I also thought their colourful notebooks were a nice alternative to the traditional Moleskine. I’m planning on buying a few of these as Christmas presents for family and friends.
