Christmas is coming…

Not to add to everyone’s Manic Monday’s, but I had the rude awakening this weekend that Christmas is only six weeks away. This year with the new house, I’m feeling ready to be a bit more festive than normal. And with Liam’s parents coming to us for the third year in a row, I would like to do something a bit special. With two cats we have to be a bit more careful about what we decide to do, as anything shiny and round looks like a toy and both love trying to climb things – especially trees. Plus apparently pine needles are toxic for cats, so I think we’ll be buying a fake tree this year.

Thanks to Pinterest and this month’s LivingEtc I’ve got lots of ideas. Here are a few of my favourites, which I think will add a nice touch without being too expensive. While we won’t be doing anything until December, it’s nice to have a plan in place now so that when the time comes, it’s an easy task. For the source of each photo, simply click the link. Once we get some festive vibes going on in our home, we’ll definitely snap a few pics and post them!

  1. I love the bulbs hung like a chandelier. I may do this from our ceiling fan in the living room to make it look less like a fan. If so I will send a photo. It reminds me of the Boca lights you featured earlier that were beautiful. Also love “NOEL” spelled with the wreath. Your choices look very home for holidays.

  2. I cannot believe I only have 6 weeks left! Present buying panic attack! Regardless, I’m so excited to decorate for Christmas, even though or digs will then proceeded to knock everything over. I live the homie feeling that a house decorated for Christmas gives. Your Noel decoration is perfect!
