Hi all! Just over seven weeks in and I’m finally finding my groove in this whole motherhood thing. As I type, Freja is strapped to me, fast asleep in the sling. I could kiss whoever invented these things – I would be one very big mess without it. Anyways, I noticed this weekend that suddenly it gets dark by 4:30 in the afternoon, red cups are out at Starbucks and John Lewis has released the annual Christmas ad. (very cute by the way – if you’ve not seen it yet, check it out here). Which means it’s nearly the holiday season (gulp!!) Given how much longer everything takes me these days, I’m going to try and start getting organised for Christmas now.
For those of you in south east London looking for a great place to pick up some amazing children’s gifts, Molly-Meg is a specialist shop with some of the best independent children’s brands I’ve seen for years. Honestly, the list of who they carry is impeccably curated. I first spotted Molly-Meg at Design Junction, and never quite managed to write about it thanks to my daughter’s early arrival. So I’m thrilled/scared for my bank balance that they’ve set up just down the road in East Dulwich. 15-17 Lordship Lane to be exact. If you’re not in the area and want to take a look, check out their website (www.mollymeg.com)
My picks for Christmas? Anything from Berlin-based brand Noe and Zoe – but I really love this star and leopard print blanket:
This cloud cushion from Blabla kids – especially since I’ve started calling Freja ‘Little bird’:
This Corby Tindersticks Giraffe growth chart – seriously I could create an entire room around that little guy’s face:
And pretty much any of their furniture. The shop closes on the 24th December so definitely check it out while it’s live! Anyone else suddenly in a pre-Christmas panic? Or taking steps to get ready now? What’s on your kids’ Christmas lists this year? Drop me a line!
