So the new year is fully underway with the first month of 2015 already drawing to a close. February brings lots of things to London (longer days, the odd daffodil, the end of January detoxes) but most importantly, Heal’s Modern Craft Market.
From the 2 – 15 February, the Tottenham Court Road shop will be transformed into a creative hotspot, with a series of interactive workshops and a collection of eclectic pieces for sale from some of the world’s most forward thinking designers. If you ever wanted to try your hand at screenprinting, leather moulding, paper cutting or other artistic skill this is a great chance to do so with some seriously renowned talent. I’ll be stopping by just to check out the Great Heal’s Bodging Race in the front window, all masterfully minded by Koji Katsuragi. (Bodging is where unseasoned wood meets traditional Windsor chair making techniques – don’t worry, I had to google it too). To see what that’s all about, you’ll just have to take a walk past the shop’s front windows from the 3 – 10 February. But trust me, furniture has never been so exciting.
Hope to see you all there!
