If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you might have picked up that I’m a girl with a love for original typographic artwork. So when I was walking home yesterday and spotted John Patrick Reynolds’ popup, I had to run in.
The artwork is all screen printed by hand on cotton paper and comes framed or ready to mount. In addition to the lettering, he’s the first artist to have permission from DC Thompson to make screenprints from the archive of old comic heroes and heroines. So those of you who love a bit of Dennis the Menace, Desperate Dan, and other classics, this is the place to go!
If you want to see more of his work you can stop by the pop up in London (33 St John’s Square) or head to his website (http://thecomicartwebsite.com). I could imagine these prints making a fab vintage-inspired nursery. Or even adorning a home office for a bit of fun personality. What do you think?
Wishing everyone a very happy end to the week, and a lovely weekend! We’re off to the countryside, so see you next week. x
